A standard series of plain radiographs with true AP projection, lateral scapular projection, and transaxial view displays the vertical and horizontal glenohumeral centering of the joint as well as degenerative changes, tendon calcifications, unfused acromial apophyses, and the positional relations of the acromioclavicular (AC) joint in the horizontal plane.

Bildgebende Verfahren: Nativradiologisch können mit einer Standardserie in echter a.-p.-Projektion, axialer Skapulaaufnahme (so genannte Y-Aufnahme) und transaxillarer Aufnahme sowohl die glenohumeralen Stellungsrelationen als auch degenerative Veränderungen des Glenohumeralgelenks, Sehnenverkalkungen, Ossifikationsstörungen des Akromions und die horizontalen Stellungsrelationen des AC-Gelenks dargestellt werden.
